I actually hadn’t thought about the Big Dream as a separate component of planning my course. I often daydream of the ways course content will apply to various areas of my student’s life but have always left it to the student to discover. I feel like I do a lot to make my course accessible, but after this discussion I realized that there are many things I do not do. I tend to hand-write my notes instead of typing them. However, if a student had a visual impairment, I don't believe they would be able to have my hand-written notes read aloud by any software, so maybe I need to create a typed version of what I typically write down so that they could access that.
